Slateville Retreat offers an exceptional overnight stay in the hills of Hebron. A bespoke 3 Story Wooden Fire Tower well equipped with comfortable furniture & circling windows is a one of a kind experience, where you can enjoy uninterrupted 360 degree views of the surrounding mountains from sunrise to sunset. Sitting on a private 40 acre hilltop parcel, the Tower is accompanied with a small well equipped furnished Wood Cabin and the Retreat is able to host small groups comfortably with a Full Bathroom and Kitchen for your use. Fire-pits, ample outdoor furniture, and plenty of room to roam will make this unique stay memorable, relaxing, to be enjoyed with absolute privacy. RVs and Tenters are also welcome. Nearby you will find plenty of opportunities to explore including the Green Mountains, the Adirondacks, The Rail Trail, Lakes St. George, Catherine, and Bomoseen, and local farms to visit like Hick’s Orchard & Gardenworks. We are on the Vermont border and Manchester is less than 30 minutes away. Less than 10 minutes away is the town of Granville where you will find supplies & services.
Environs
These are pictures of the exterior of both structures. We have added some drone photographs and my past guests have also generously allowed me to repost photographs they took while visiting over the last 2 years. The front porch of the cabin now has outdoor padded lounge chairs and a table and the back porch has wooden Adirondack Chairs with blankets for the cooler evenings. Wrap around deck on the Tower has Sunbrella chairs and tables and also a large dining set is on the Open 2nd Tier.
Centered here is the Tower as seen during the deep of winter when there are no leaves as seen by the nearest road.
Fire Tower Interior & Second Floor Open Level
We have recently upgraded the furnishings to include padded seating and a dining table for 6 on the 2nd Level. The top floor periphery has outdoor seating for 6 along with Sunbrella pads and small tables. Tower Sleeping Level on the top floor has proper queen bed and a long custom built couch. Bar Table and 4 Chairs are there as well as a small refrigerator.
